Hawzah News Agency – Tavakoli said that the special ceremony was started by recitation of holy verses of Quran at 06:00 am of Eid al-Fitr day. The ceremony was continued by prayer of the auspicious feast conducted by Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Alamolhoda Leader's representative in Khorasan Razavi Province.
He added: “Playing kittle drum in the morning of the Eid day as well as serving pilgrims and visitors with blessed packages are other programs of the Eid al-Fitr day”.
The official further noted that almost all courtyards and surrounding spaces of the holy shrine had been covered with carpets for convenience of the pilgrims.
Eid al-Fitr is a joyous Islamic celebration after one month of fasting. Muslims mark the occasion with private and community events such as prayer, parties, preparing and eating special foods, giving gifts, wearing new clothes, and visiting friends and family.
